Jackson County is located in southwest Minnesota. It was named for president Andrew Jackson. The largest city and seat is Jackson.
It borders Cottonwood, Watonwan, Martin and Nobles Counties in Minnesota and Emmet, Dickinson and Osceola in Iowa.
The main roads through the county include I-90. US-71 and MN-60
